Achieving "GREATness"

Finally, Ronnie & I are a GREAT uncle and a GREAT aunt. The nieces & nephews always tell us we are the 'best'....but it is a very cool feeling to achieve 'GREATness'..

Paxton Michael (I like to call him just 'Pax'). He was born on 11/6/08, wieghing in at 9lbs 2oz and a quarter inch away from being 2 feet long. Tyler made sure we all knew that he is not that far off from being tall enough to ride the cool rides at Disneyland. Isaiah adores his new cousin. I think he doesn't move slow enough around Pax but I think that will come in time. Zack & Ty are in love with the lil guy. Ronnie & I are amazed at how perfect he is. He can't even cry loud. Breanne is a perfect mommy and I only see about 8 or 9 more of these lil things in her future. She was made for this gig and I'm totally jealous of the patience she has as a mother at her young age. She has turned into an amazing lady. I love her and I am so proud of her. I feel very blessed that God chose me to be her Auntie.

My Best Friend's Bucket List ~

The other night I asked Ronnie what his bucket list would look like if he had to choose just 5 things that could be on it. For those of you who don't know what I mean by 'bucket list', it is the list of things you want to do before you die. Weird? yes, but we recently bought the movie and it is pretty cute and definately a tear jerker. Now, those of you that know Ronnie know that he thinks off the cuff and usually says what he means and means what he says. He only could think of the first 3 and is still working on #4 and #5 as he wants them to be good. Here is what he has so far:

  1. 'See my grandkids'

  2. 'See the 2nd coming of Christ' (he is going to see him either way..tee hee)

  3. 'Travel, and not to France, Italy or Mexico' (I found this funny)

Hearing these items makes me love my husband even more. You totally know what is important to him just by the first 2 items. Here are my thoughts on each of his bucket items:

1 - He totally is head over heels in love with his boys and cannot wait to be able to love on his grandkids who we know are going to be drop dead gorgeous. duh?

2 - He handed his heart over to the Lord at a very young age and will continue to put HIM first in everything he does. To see Christ's face means that you have finally obtained the prize at the end or shall we say 'the beginning' of the journey. Now, knowing my husband he listed this 2nd because I know he wants to see those grandbabies before Christ comes back! I feel the same.

3 - I died laughing at his 3rd response and I think it was because I know my husband does not like to fly. The places he listed are all places that I would love to go but my heart is truly only set on going anywhere he is. Surroundings don't mean a thing as long as we have each other. I want to see more of my own country first anyways!! (NY, DC, Hawaii, Alaska...Mt Rushmore etc). He did say that he would like to take us to the Dominican Republic...something about knowing a guy who would give him a good deal on renting a condo down there. LOL!!

He is still thinking about items #4 and #5....Stay tuned!!!
